A Little Birdie

I was hoping to share something new but haven't managed to get into the stamping room yet this week. Sorry. It is on the agenda for the weekend. I did find this one which I don't think I have shared with you yet. Hope you like it.

Cup of Tea

Well it's a chilly night and I thought it was the perfect time to share this project. I love tea and thought I would give a project a try using my favourite beverage. I have seen a couple versions of this online and I actually tried a couple of different ways to have it close until I found one that worked. This one tied on the end but I found it worked better by having the ribbon close on the inside sealing the tea from sliding out. I used a small envelope with both ends opened to have the tea bag sit on either side. The both stamps are from the morning cup stamp set.
Enjoy a cup of your favourite tea the next time you are stamping...
which I am hoping is soon.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! It's the first day of 2011 and so far it's been pretty good. Shad and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary today.
Thought I would share my favourite christmas card of this season that I made for my mom. The little girl reminds me a lot of her. Even looks like her as a little girl. It's from Greeting Card Kids set. I also used the scalloped edge die to create an accent around the image in cherry cobbler using my big shot. I am really loving the new large buttons to finish off the card. The image was coloured using the water colour pencil crayons.

I hope you had a fun new years and will be back soon with another project.

New Year's Eve

Well it's the end of the year (hard to believe, not sure where the time has gone) and it's time to make those resolutions right. Well I don't usually but I thought I would try at least one...blog more! Let's hope that's an easy one to do. I have lots to share so I thought I would start today.

This was a new project for me which I did for the craft fair. It is an altered notebook. I used a general notebook and covered it in designer paper. Added a Journal (which was typed out in My Digital Studio) with a couple of layers of matching card stock. I also took a spare piece of the designer and cut out 2 of the flowers out and added them as a accent. I then covered the coils with an assortment of ribbons. I love ribbons. Also the back is covered as well in the same designer papers. I did go around the edges of the book once it was dry with a sanding block. It just cleans up the lines.

I hope you have a fun and safe New Years Eve and I wish you all the best (and lots of time to stamp :-)) in 2011 .

Craft Fair

I have had an exciting week. I participated in a craft fair at work on Wednesday and it was a great success. It was a great way to start the season and I will definitely participate again next year.
Here's a picture of my table at the craft fair. Lots of goodies and I am happy to say a lot of them were gone by the end of the day.
I am off to decorate the house and then work on our Christmas cards.

Here are a couple of pictures from another successful Relay for Life. Our team raised over $5000 which was fantastic. I will be back soon with some cards and the countdown is on until the new catty is here. I hope everyone is enjoying the wonderful weather.
