Thinking about Christmas

I went to build a bear this week with Maia and I made my very own this time. It was Frosty so it got me thinking about Christmas again. He's so cute. Of course they had little Hocus Pocus and Karen as well so of course they had to come home with us as well. Although Maia decided to make a purple cat instead of the Frosty but I'm sure she will want to go again so she can get that one as well. Enough about my venture and onto cards. Here is a quick card I made a few weeks ago. I used the new designer paper but it has a retired stamp on it. I really liked the colour combo and something a little different then the traditional red and green. It is taken with teal, white and kraft. I think I am going to decide on what card I am going to send out this year and work on them this week. Fingers crossed cause if I leave it much longer they might not get done.

Happy Stamping!

My crazy Week

Well it has be a very trying week. I spent last week in the hospital and had surgery Thursday to remove my gall bladder. I am home and on the mend but it sure isn't easy to get around. I'm hoping that will get easier in a couple of days.

Sadly I have had to cancel my classes this week. I am hoping I can get back into the swing of things soon and I am looking forward to the October classes which we will be working on Christmas cards.

While I was in the hospital I missed my sister's 30th birthday so I thought I should post a picture of a birthday card. This one is a quick simple card from my last class.

Thanks for stopping by and I am hoping to have some new cards to share soon but it might be a couple of weeks.

Thank You

Just a quick post. My week hasn't started off on the right foot. I ended up in the ER with a gallstone attack which was horrible. I am resting at home now until I get a call for more tests. Thank you for everyone's notes I really appreciate it.

Inspired by Nature

This card was a very a favorite at my last class. It features the Inspired by Nature Stamp set.
The glossy paper was cut out in the big shot using the Top Note die. Then I brayered the  whole piece of paper in summer sun. The I punched out a circle with a scrap piece of paper and place it in the centre to create the sun. Then I brayered really rust and  close to cocoa over that. All the colours blend together. Remove your circle and the sun appears. Then I stamp the grass in black. The edges are sponged in chocolate chip. The creating was stamped and punched using the modern label punch.

Happy Stamping!!

Jack Pot

This card I made for a friend of ours you is a big texas holde'm fan. I used the game night stamp set with the matching jack pot designer paper. I had a tough time deciding what side of the designer paper to use, both are great. I finished it off with a couple of brads and the scallop punch accent.

Happy Stamping!!

Time to Celebrate!

Sorry this is just a quick post.
I have been busy with house reno's and unfortunately things haven't been going as smoothly as I would like so I haven't had much time to play with my new stamps but here's hoping to some time this weekend. It's time to start getting creative again.
This is one of the cards from my last card class.
Happy Stamping.

I'm Back!

It's been way to long since I last posted. Miss me.
Wondering where I have been?
Shad and I sold our house this spring and moved back into town. We are settling into our new to home very nicely. Our new house is actually pretty old (1940's) which has been an adjustment from our last house which was brand new. It's great being back in the city and we have lots of reno's planned to update it. Lucky for me I have a nice large space just for stamping and I have started my classes again. I have now held my first stamp a stack so I have lots of new cards to share. It was great to have so many of my stampers return and new new faces join us and I can't wait until we stamp again this fall. For those wondering when my next classes will be offered they will begin again in September. Shad and I are taking the some time to finish some much needed repairs on the house and I will have time to work on some new projects I will share with you this fall.

So my first card I am sharing with you is a card I made for a co worker who recently got married . I went with her wedding colours. I used chocolate chip, certainly celery and shimmer white card stock. I used the big shot Manhetten Flower. It's hard to see in the picture but I went over parts of the flower with my dazzling diamonds glitter to add a little sparkle.

Happy Stamping.
