Happy Halloween

Well you probably guessed it I haven't been doing to much stamping but I have been thinking it's time to get back to it as my card supply is becoming low and I think it's time to start my christmas cards. Sadly it's not that far away.

This picture was taken at our Halloween Party. I was a rocker. It went with our theme of rockband/guitar hero. It was lots of fun and who doesn't like to dress up.

I hope everyone else had a happy halloween.

Thank You

While we were away I wanted to be sure I had thank you cards for everyone we stayed with. Who doesn't like this little sheep.I also outlined the sheep using the bashful blue marker. I also love the striped ribbon...which you probably knew if you read the tagged post.
Happy Stamping!!!

100 Posts

This is my 100th post. I can't believe it. Who new I had so much to share.
This card I made for my cousins bridal shower. She is getting married on the 19th so I will have to come up with another card this week.
It does use a retired set but I thought it was perfect for the occasion. I used purple as it is one of her wedding colours.
Happy Stamping!!!!

I've been tagged

I would normally not play along with this kind of thing but it's been a while since I posted and figured that it would get me back. So the object of this is to post 7 things you might not know about me.
1. I just returned home from a road trip with my husband up to northern BC and then into Alberta. It was a blast. We travelled over 3500 k/m and spent $600 in gas. You might think it would be cheaper to fly but not even close. The one thing I discovered I like to do while I was in Prespatou is go 4 wheeling. I wasn't so sure to start but what fun. I would do it again. It's a pretty funny story actually and if you ask Shad about it he tells it really well. I thought I would include a picture of me 4 wheeling for you. Looking for more trip pics (under photos) www.regnier.ca
2. I love music. If it's listening, singing or playing one of my many instruments I can't get enough. I do wish I had more time for it but I just have way to many hobbies so I try to balance them all out.
3. I love stripes. Sounds crazy but it's true.
4. I like to watch the birds in my yard. I am an animal lover as most of you know but ever since we moved to Sooke I can't get enough of the birds. It has become a challenge over the last couple of years to try and figure out all the different kinds.
5. I have gone swimming with sting rays. We had the chance when we were on our honeymoon in Mexico and it was great. I would do it again. I love to swim and snorkeling is another thing I love to do. I think our next trip will be somewhere like Hawaii.
6. I am a huge baseball fan. My favorite team is the NY Yankees. Any guesses on my favorite player?
7. I love to bake. Now this one probably doesn't come as a surprise.
That was actually harder then I thought. I think most of the people who visit my blog know me pretty well but I hope I found at least one thing you might not know.
Well back to some stamping and a new card.

Pretties Kit

Yikes!! It has been forever since I posted a card. I couldn't believe it when I saw the date of my last post. I hope everyone enjoyed there mother's day. We had a family dinner to celebrate all the mom's in the family which was fun. My niece always keeps us well entertained. I am hoping to get to make a couple of cards this week so I will be sure to post them as soon as they are done.
This is the card I made my Mom and it is my first card using flowers from the pretties kit.

Happy Stamping!

The flooring continues...

Well we have the flooring almost done. Just putting in the baseboards this weekend and that should be it. It looks great and we are really happy with it. With this and of course ending up with a cold last week things around here slowed down a little. We are on the mend and deciding what our next project will be. I just finished unpacking all my stamping supplies so I hope to have a few cards to post this week. In the meantime I thought I would share a picture I took on Friday at work. We have had a family of deer that like to hang outside my office and this is the baby. I just think he's so cute. Hope you are having a great weekend and happy stamping!

Floors

Well the floors are taking longer then I thought (yes Shad was right- he new it was going to take longer) but I am sure they will be finished for this weekend. We spent all weekend working on them and are at the half way point. It's starting to look good. We both have Thursday off to work on them. Here's a sneak peak of our progress.

Another Swap

I must say I have certainly been on a role making cards lately but not so good at posting this week. Sorry. I have a swap coming up on the 17th and I am trying to decide what card to make. Here are my choices. Any guesses which I decided on? I will reveal it on Monday.
Happy Stamping.
And the winner for my swap card is.............. the first card (baby card)

Thursday Already

I just wanted to post a little note as it's been a week. I keep meaning to but the time this week has just disappeared. I have managed to finish a few cards which I will post tonight. Are you wondering what I have been up to? This is the weekend we are redoing the floors. Yes we are doing all the work ourselves. It should be very interesting. Shad is pretty handy so I am sure it will go smoothly. We have spent to week preparing and are just about ready to start. I will post a picture once we are finished - which I am hoping will be Sunday night (fingers crossed). So on that note stay tuned for a couple of cards tonight and then once the floors are finished it's back to stamping a couple of easter projects.

Have fun stamping!

Lovely As a Tree

It has been a while since I pulled this set out and I am loving this card. I don't normally say that but I thought I managed to come up with a great birthday card for a male.

It also features the layout challenge we have this month with my demo. group. I did branch out a little bit as well by making this card 5x5 which is a little different for me. I have actually been doing a lot of cards lately in different dimensions just to mix things up a little. The cardstock used pumkin pie, old olive, close to cocoa, bordering blue and the new designer paper summer picnic from the occassions mini. Of course the pewter jumbo eyelets with the coordinating brads. I coloured the tree in with my markers using old olive, close to cocoa and the grass is mellow moss. The Happy Belated Birthday came for It's your birthday set.

Birthday

Here's the last card for work. This one I did a little different having it open in the centre. The colours used on this card are tempting turquiosem garden green, summer sun and then the striped designer paper( I forgot to look at which pack it came from but if you need to know drop me a note) I used the markers to colour directly on the stamp to get all the different colours in on the cake. There are also silver brads in each of the corners.
Thanks for checking out the new cards. Have fun stamping.

Pink Glitter

Heres' Another Birthday card. This is very similar to another card I posted recently. I changed up the colours a little and included a rub on for the birthday greeting.

Textured Die Cut Flowers

This is a quick birthday card I made last night for a coworker. There are 3 birthdays this week so stay tuned for a couple more pic's. This card featured the new textured die cut flowers from the new occasions mini. The colours I used for this cards are bashful blue, pumkin pie, old olive, and the patterned certainly celery paper.

This is a waterfall card. So this means when you pull the ribbon it reveals one of 4 images.
I used the zoofari set so there is a different animal on each flip. The card stock used is tempting turquoise, garden green and the east coast prep designer paper. The saying that is revealed when you pull the red grograin ribbon comes from the it's your birthday stamp set. I also has a couple of white eyelets.

Friendship Bloom

This set is from the sale a bration mini. I used a build a brad for the centre of the flower. It's not so easy to see the centre but I stamped one of the smaller flowers from the set and punched it out and used it in the build a brad. I used the print pattern background stamp.
The cardstock used for this card are basic grey, sage shadow, groovy guava and the flower was coloured in using the lovely lilac marker.

By Ones & By Twos

I think this is one of my favorite new baby sets. It's nice to see a few new phrases for twins and adoption which is nice to see. I used real red, tempting turquiose, bashful blue, white and the polka dots paper is from the east coast prep package. The patterned paper is double sided so the other side I used for the baby sleeper. I stamped it on the patterned paper and the cut it out and placed it over the one I stamped on the white paper. I then stamped the little duck and applied it onto the sleeper as an accent. I also used gold brads, red striped ribbon and photo corners punch.

Fine Glitter

This one also features a new stamp from the upcoming mini called phrases for a friend. I also used a star onboard accent which I covered in light blue fine glitter. I used the heat and stick powder as the adhesive. The small star stamp is from the nursery necessities set. I used new chocolate chip poly-twill ribbon. The colours used are chocolate chip, bashful blue and white.

Big on Spring

This is a new set that will be in the Occasions mini starting March 1. I used purely pomegranite, groovy guava, black and white cardstock. I coloured bride in using a blender pen and the purely pomegranite ink pad. I also added a couple of the rhinestone brads and the matching ribbon. I also added a faux stitch around the edge using a white gel pen.

Spring is almost here

I know this isn't stamping but I was so excited about it today I had to share it.
I was outside enjoying the sun with the dogs and I couldn't believe what I found in my garden. Flowers!!! I am so excited to see some life coming back in my garden. I noticed a few more of my bulbs starting to pop up as well in my baskets. The first signs of spring. I am totally ready for it.
This picture has inspired me to make a card. Stay tuned to see what I come up with.

80th Birthday

The surpises party for my grandma on Saturday afternoon was great. She was so surprised and just couldn't believe it. She had so many friends and family the house was full. It was nice to see her have such a good time. She certainly deserved it as she does so much for everyone.

This is the card I gave her. I have used the sticky letters & numbers which I have covered in fine blue glitter. I also used designer paper, taffata ribbon and matching rhinestone brads. I also sponged purely pomegranite ink around the layers and the card itself.

I am now off to make some thank you cards for her to give out. Happy Stamping!!!

Glitter

The new catalogue featured new glitter. I love it. Why not make your card sparkle. I have used the chunky red glitter on a heart shaped onboard accents. This is another last minute idea for a Valentines card. I used real read, basic grey, whisper white card stock. The grey piece was stamped with the weathered background stamp.

Valentine's Treats

I needed to come up with a few treats for Valentine's and here they are. The small pouch filled with chocolate hearts and the small cello bag is filled with mini chocolate bars. I used the celebration rub-ons on each item including the cello bag. The flower of course is the scallop punch and the scallop edge on the cello bag is created using the slit punch. I also used the new chocolate chip poly ribbon on both. This ribbon will be available in the upcoming occasions mini. I wanted to use up some of the my paper from previous projects so the card stock used are chocolate chip, purely pomegranite, kraft and whisper white paper. Happy Stamping!

Yet Another card with the little birdie

I was talking with a good friend of mine Christine on the weekend and we were talking birthdays. It's her mom's (Kathy) birthday on the 14th which is easy to remember being Valentine's day. Christine then mentioned that it was Kathy's dog's birthday on the 15th so I thought it would be funny to pop a card in the mail for Suzy as well. This is the card I made for Suzy and I signed it from Oscar and Annie (my dogs).

Birthday

I needed to come up with a masculine birthday card and here it is. Why is it so hard to make a card for a guy. I can't figure it out. Here's my creation.

Rub On's

As I have mentioned before I love the new rub on's. They just add a little something extra to projects. It's hard to see but stay tuned for other projects featuring them. This card features some new poly twill ribbon that will be in the upcoming occasions mini.

Baby Cards

Well I have had a couple of friends that have had babies lately and so I needed to come up with a card for a little girl and a little boy. Yes I know I used a retired set but I just love the set so much and I haven't used it in a while. Despite that I did use new designer papers on both cards and the new striped ribbon.

Another Birthday

Tis the season for birthdays. I wanted to be sure not to forget to make my Aunt a birthday card as it's her birthday between Shad and my grandma's. I used new designer paper, purely pomegranite, chocolate chip and white paper. I also used some of the satin ribbon from the winter mini. It's hard to see but I also used the happy day rub on.

Birthday Card

Now that I finished the invitations it's time to work on a 80th birthday card. The family asked me to make one card to give her and here is what I came up with. I went with a 5 1/2 X 5 1/2 card. I also wanted to go with my grandma's favorite colour blue and incorporate 80 somehow on the front (it's subtle but it works). I used the Time Well Spent set, pewter jumbo eyelets with matching brads, double stitched purely pomegranite ribbon and went with the cracked glass over the main flower image which was coloured using a blender pen with the matching purely pomegranite ink. I went a little crazy with adding things to this card. I hope everyone will like it as much as the invites.

Valentine's Day

It seems to be a busy time for me to make cards and I needed to come up with another card for Shad. I am actually happy with the way this turned out. I tried Stampin' Up! rub ons for the first time (the little hearts). They are so easy to use and I can't wait to use them again. The colours I used are real red, tempting turquoise, silver, black and white.

Shad's Birthday

Well it is Shad's birthday on the 3rd and I needed to come up with a card for him. I always have a tough time with masculine cards. Here is my first attempt at a card for him. I thought I would post it. I am not so sure about it. If I decide to use it I somehow think my stamping blog is somewhere he doesn't go to often so he shouldn't see it.

A Little Valentine

This is one of the cards I made on Monday night. It was created by Robin. It is so cute and I just love the little butterflies and there sparkling glittered wings. Thanks Robin. Now it's time to go make a birthday and valentine's cards for Shad so stay tuned for more cards.

Make and Take

I had another get together with my fellow SU demonstrators on Monday night and I said I would bring a make and take. I think this was the first time I didn't participate in the swap but I didn't think I would have time with the birthday invitations. Maybe next month.
This is the card I came up with. It features a new set A little Birdie told me. I used purely pomegranite paper, cameo coral, river rock and black card stock. Of course I used my scallop punch, I can't seem to get enough of it. I love it. If you don't have one already you need one. I also did a little paper piercing on the punch and on the cameo coral paper with the jumbo pewter eyelets.

Birthday Invitations

I have to admit I have spent the last week or so working on 40 birthday invitations for my grandma's 80th which is in February. I wanted to make they were just perfect and that sometimes means more time making them but I really like how they turned out. I think if I was to do it again I would probably pick something that required a lot less colouring. I was lucky to have a little help with that. Thanks Shad. The card itself is made with ballet blue, gable green and white cardstock. I used a couple of my new stamps, corner punch, matching grosgrain ribbon. It might be hard to see but I used the spritz tool with the ballet blue marker to add a little more of the blue to the card. I hope everyone will like them as much as I did. The inside I put all the party details and a picture of my grandma when she was 17. I love old pictures.

Happy New Year !!

I can't believe how quickly the holidays went but I enjoyed them. I am now left with a bad cold. I'm starting to get better but it sure is a bad one.

I didn't have any time for stamping but I have a few projects I will be working on this week so stay tuned for new cards with new things from the new catalogue. You can check it out online. I know some of you are waiting for the hard copy which I will be delivering at the end of the week. Sorry about the delay but with being away and sick I haven't had the chance to get them out.

As I haven't got a new card yet to show you I have included a cute picture of Oscar. When we were in Mission for New Years our camera died (we can get it fixed but I can't live without a camera during the holidays) so that gave Shad a chance to pick out a new camera which he has wanted for a while now. It sure takes great photos. I took this picture the night we got back from Mission. Oscar was very happy we were home.

I hope everyone enjoyed there holidays and happy stamping in 2008!
